But don’t worry, this won’t be your typical book signing, although I do hope to sign your book! Imagine taking an empty downtown storefront and completely redesigning it using vintage and repurposed furniture, lamps, rugs, etc. to make a very cool bohemian scene complete with a record player and a typewriter . . . a special Sweet Spot in Brattleboro, VT- on Gallery Walk, no less. Most items will be priced with the budget shopper in mind so bring your wallet, hot stuff.
You’ll be invited to play a little at the “Manifest Your Dream Home” workshop station where you can create a collage of your dream home for display. Art supplied donated from the River Gallery School of Art.
PLUS!!!! Local art and photography by Sarah Johnson, Tessa Carpenter, Elle James, Shanta Crowley and Daniel Kornguth will be on view.
And guess what else? We will have a silent auction with items from the shops I love the very most which include:
*Home decor items from Altiplano (did you know I used to work there? Even though I always ended up owing THEM!) They have a great selection of amazing clothes, purses, jewelry and home decor items.)
*Fabrics from the sweetest fabric store in New England- Delectable Mountain
*Lots of vintage finds from the largest vintage/antique store in Brat Twice Upon a Time
*Some amazing vintage lamps, tables and rugs from the Twitchell House in Townshend, VT (a new fav for sure!!)
*Raffle prize from everyone’s favorite Amy’s Bakery.
*Gorgeous items on view from A Candle in the Night.
…and many more!
Documenting the evening, we have Juliette Sunderland on video and Leslie Woodward of Woodward Photography! I can’t wait to hug your neck. See you Friday, June 6 at 12 Flat Street (where Adivasi used to be).
